Practical SI tools for commissioning checks. Each result shows its assumptions and method so it can be checked against the approved design.

CALCULATOR

Fan static & total pressure

Keep inlet and outlet readings signed, and distinguish simple static rise from AMCA fan static pressure.

Method and scope

p_v = ρv²/2; p_t = p_s + p_v; FTP = p_t,out − p_t,in; FSP = FTP − p_v,out.

This is a low-speed, constant-density calculation at the fan reference planes. Axial, mixed-flow and centrifugal fans each need their exact manufacturer curve: fan type alone does not determine pressure.

The pre-filled numbers are illustrative examples. Replace them with measured values or verified project inputs. Calculations do not save data or alter equipment.

Assumes negligible leakage and constant density.
Use actual fan air density.
Use the actual reference area, not nominal connection size.
Use the actual fan outlet reference area.
Negative suction remains negative; same ambient reference as outlet.
Static reading at the outlet reference plane.
